How to wear the midriff body stocking The body stocking is a tightly woven mesh with side seams. There are a few ways to wear and secure the body stocking. One way is to attach 6 large snaps (size 3) to the body stocking and the bra you would like it attached to. Space the snaps around the torso (1 in front on each side of the ribcage, 1 on either side of the body, and 1 positioned under each shoulder blade) to secure the body stocking to the bra. Use the female side of the snap on the bra (facing in toward the body) and the male side on the body stocking (facing away from the body). Sew the snaps on the bra first, then align the body stocking, mark where they match up and sew the other part of the snap on the stocking. Some people have been known to use a small piece of grosgrain ribbon as a base to help sew on the snap to the mesh fabric. Another way to secure the body stocking to the bra is to use just the hooks from a hooks and eyes pack, with the hook part on the bra. Then simply pull up the body stocking and hook the mesh directly onto the hook through one of the holes in the mesh. Finally, safety pins (a dancer's best friend) are another option.
