There are two means of shipping within the USA:
The first method is UPS and its selections (i.e. ground,
next day air, etc.) UPS offers "to the person" delivery
and insurance is included with these shipments. The shipping is
automatically calculated at the checkout and the fee is based on
the weight of your item and the postal code. Please choose the appropriate
delivery time and fees yourself when checking out. There is a map
provided on the screen so that shipping time to your address can
be determined.
*Please keep in mind that UPS does not deliver on Saturdays, Sundays
nor holidays. Once payment has been received, your order will be
shipped with 24-36 business hours. (Orders received after 12:00pm
Eastern Time, may not be shipped until the following business day)
After your purchase has been shipped, if the correct e-mail address
has been given on the order form, you will be sent notification
and a tracking number from UPS titled UPS Quantum Notify.
Please keep this number so that you may check your package's status.
* Please note: if a parcel needs to be redirected at the customer's
request or the address needs to be changed to something different from what was entered on the order form and the shipment has been processed, there is a $10.00 fee. This is a charge that the
shipping agent (UPS) charges our shop. The customer must pay the $10.00
fee before we can reroute the parcel.
If the parcel is rerouted or returned to the shop, we will contact you via email or phone to inform you. If the purchase is no longer desired, the product
price will be refunded to customer less the initial shipping fee
and the $10.00 route change fee charged to us by UPS. See Return
Policy. A redirect may only be requested with UPS as USPS does
not offer this service.
If a parcel is returned to our shop due to an incorrect address
submitted on the order form by the customer, the customer is liable
for the initial shipping fee and must pay an additional shipping
fee for the parcel to be resent. This is what the shipping agent (UPS)
charges our shop and not our shop's policy. The $10.00 route change fee will not be charged to the customer and we will pay the charge.
The second method is USPS, government post. For countries
other than the USA, if the UPS rate is high, we will gladly ship
USPS to you, please refer to "international Orders" below.
Once payment has been received, your order will be shipped as soon
as possible. USPS orders are shipped once or twice weekly. There
is no tracking number provided for these shipments and the shipping
time may vary slightly. We will use USPS for single set zil orders
if requested within the USA please e-mail us at buy@thebellydanceshop.com
All other web site check-out, within the USA, is shipped UPS.
International Orders:
We ship USPS or UPS for international orders. Shipping
internationally with USPS can be cheaper than UPS, but it isn't
as fast or easy to track as UPS. UPS and USPS prices can be seen
on the web site when you are checking out, be sure to choose the
correct option for shipping speed for your budget as that is also
a pricing variable. We ship USPS one - twice a week as there is
no daily pick up service as with UPS.
If a parcel is lost in transit with USPS, please notify us one
month after the date of your purchase. Please e-mail
us your name, order number and the date of the order. We will submit
a tracking for the parcel, but this procedure may take a couple
of weeks for USPS to contact us. We can not issue a refund or send
a replacement item until the case is resolved as we have no way
of knowing what has happened to the parcel until USPS contacts us.
If you are unsure of your local postal service's reliability, please
use the UPS service as it is very efficient and tracking is very
simple.

scarf weighs about 1 pound, for example) or you may do an incomplete
check out on the site and the site will automatically generate the
shipping costs and time for each method.
